2026/27 Operational Plan
Lithgow City Council has endorsed the Draft 2026/27 Operational Plan and is inviting the community to provide feedback on the projects and programs to be undertaken in 2026/27 financial year. .
What is the Operational Plan?
The annual Operational Plan sets out the projects and activities which Council commits to undertaking over the financial year and includes the budget, performance measures and timeframes to deliver against the Delivery Program Outcomes.
The Operational Plan includes the annual budget and Statement of Revenue Policy and the annual Fees & Charges. The full document suite is available for viewing under Documents on Exhibition

How can I make a submission?
The Council is inviting residents and community groups to put forward proposals to be considered for inclusion in the draft Operational Plan. This can include any issues that you believe require attention and your suggestions or ideas about future directions for the Lithgow local government area such as new infrastructure projects, community activities/events, or ideas for improvements which will enhance the quality of life in our community.
Prior to making a submission, please ensure that you have viewed the relevant document on exhibition for your area of interest above. For example, you want to request works to be undertaken on a particular street/road – view the Places Map, then, if it has not been included in the program you can provide feedback in one of the following ways:

You can also a project on the map that you would like Council to consider in the Operational Plan. Please note though that your name will be recorded against your and seen by people who are viewing the map. If you don't wish for your submission to be made public you can always submit your feedback using the Submission Forms or ipr@lithgow.nsw.gov.au

What happens with my submission?
Whilst we encourage everyone to make a submission, this is not a voting process, submissions are considered in accordance with budget availability, staff capacity and value to the community. Multiple submissions for a project or program will be considered as one submission. We also encourage you to give a project you like on the Places Map a thumbs up or add your own project idea.
All submissions will be reported to Council at its meeting to be held on 29 June for consideration prior to adoption of the 2026-2027 Operational Plan and Fees & Charges.
Council Business papers will be available for viewing online on the Thursday prior to the meeting. A copy of the Agenda item and Minute will also be published on this webpage.

Submissions open on 1 May and close on 1 June
