Since its adoption in 2017, key stages of the Masterplan have been delivered, including shared pathway networks, environmental and infrastructure works, and revegetation across the corridor. However, flood and bushfire impacts, along with other infrastructure upgrades, mean updates are now needed to reflect progress, assess damage, and guide future conservation and capital works.

The RCMP supports the Masterplan by outlining vegetation management specific to the riparian corridor in greater detail. The RCMP will be used as a guide for specific vegetation management, revegetation plantings weed control, and ongoing maintenance.

Community engagement plays a pivotal role in this masterplan, is essential to ensure these plans continue to reflect local needs and values. Together, we can make Farmers Creek a valued, enjoyed and well managed asset of which the Lithgow and the greater community will be justifiably proud.

Lithgow City Council acknowledges the original inhabitants of the land, the people of the Wiradjuri nation and show respect to elder’s past, present and future. We would also like to acknowledge our neighbouring Gundungarra & Darug nations.
